NEW YORK & DAVOS Switzerland. Altru Institute announced the formation of the Altru Blockchain Project to foster collaboration among those applying this important technology to addressing humanitarian goals.

“Like the Internet, Blockchain is a transformative technology capable of addressing complex humanitarian challenges. Through the Blockchain Project Altru will use its communications platform to support and recognize those people and projects dedicated to such efforts” said Altru co-founder and Chairman Mariam Azarm.

“The mission is to address this complex problem by innovators into a collaborative network to create solutions and to implement the best ideas rapidly.” The Blockchain Project will be introduced at Altru’s Annual Meeting in Davos Switzerland May 24th. Altru will be hosting a series of panels with thought leaders on the various Blockchain applications. The event is held concurrent with the World Economic Forum
